Finnish driver Niko Kari will race for Trident in the FIA F3 Championship in 2019. He makes the step from rivals MP Motorsport.
The 19-year old drove in GP3 and in a couple of F2 races with Dutch outfit MP Motorsport last year. In GP3 he finished 17th in the standings and in F2 (where he did four races) in 24th.
Testing
Kari is happy to sign with Trident: “We enjoyed some great testing sessions at the end of the last season at Abu Dhabi and there are now the right conditions to work together.
Skills
Team Principal Giacomo Ricci has a lot of trust in the Fin: “Niko has the potential needed to aim for the title and make the step to the major racing series, in line with his skills.”
