Alle the teams of the new FIA F3 Championship got to try their new machinery Wednesday at the Magny-Cours circuit in France. The shakedown was successful.
On a cold and sunny track all the teams did their runs. The teams were only allowed to use one car, so the drivers had to share.
It was the first time the new Sauber Junior Team by Charouz did their laps. Behind the wheel sat Swiss driver and new signing Fabio Scherer. The Sauber team was the only team that only had one driver participate in the shakedown.
Didier Perrin, FIA Formula 3 Technical Director was pleased with the first outing of the new car: “The feedback from the teams has been positive, and more importantly, the feedback from the drivers seems to show that the car is well-balanced and that it seems to be delivering some good downforce level and that it is pleasant to drive.”
