ART’s Nyck de Vries tops the timing table after the first part of Formula 2 testing at Jerez. Tatiana Calderon got all her times deleted because of an underweight car.
Quickest time
Dutchman De Vries did only 17 laps as he drove the quickest time, the first times the Formula 2 cars went out this year. Not far behind him were the DAMS cars of Sergio Sette Camâra and Nicholas Latifi.
Rookie
The first rookie can be found in sixth, Mick Schumacher driving 28 laps in his PREMA car. His teammate Sean Galael was down in tenth.
Guest drivers
Guest drivers Dorian Boccolacci (Campos), Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport), Jordan King (MP Motorsport) and Ralph Boschung (Trident) finished the session in 8th, 11th, 14th and 19th respectively.
Calderon
The car of Colombian driver Tatiana Calderon was found to be underweight and all her times were deleted.
