After the pouring rain forced the Formula 3 sprint race to be postponed to the end of the day, race thirteen of the season did not disappoint: After 18 eventful laps, it was home favourite Arvid Lindblad who crossed the finish line first to take a dominant win in Silverstone. Feeder Series, along with other selected media, spoke to the Brit about his latest performances and his confidence inside the car.

Despite getting ready for a wet race, the drivers had to hit the reset button when the stewards decided to postpone the sprint race, as the weather conditions were too treacherous for it to take place. Once the time for F3 racing finally came, the track had dried up, with everyone needing to prepare for a completely different setting.
Even with the wait and the condition changes, Lindblad looked as focused as ever on his way to his third win of the season. After starting from second position, a perfect start saw him overtake Noel León to take the lead of the sprint, managing the tyres throughout the opening half of the race. Despite plenty of interruptions due to safety cars and virtual safety cars, the 16-year-old extended his gap over the rest of the field, thus taking home his third win of the season in dominant fashion.

A big confidence boost
Coming straight up from Italian F4, Lindblad had to learn the ways of F3 racing pretty quickly – and did so brilliantly by winning the opening sprint of the season in Bahrain. Since then, the Prema driver has showed great adaptation skills, and now looks as confident as ever with his car.
“Yeah, for sure,” Lindblad told Feeder Series when asked whether his string of impressive results was helping him gain confidence throughout the year. “As the more experience [I get] in the car, the results are definitely helping me build confidence and just experience.”
The Brit is now third in the drivers’ standings, and being one of the best performing drivers lately, he is most definitely in the championship fight with only seven races left on the calendar. Though this may be seen as additional pressure, he is keen on keeping his form intact. “I just drive the car, and I’m enjoying it at the moment. I think it’s going well, so we need to just keep pushing and keep focused.”
