Monza and Mexico City serve as the fora where three more junior single-seater titles will be decided this weekend. Feeder Series previews the action to come in Formula Regional Europe, E4 and NACAM F4.

It is almost the end of the European racing season in junior series. Monza plays host to FR Europe’s and E4’s season finales, and both have wide-open title battles. It’s also the final weekend of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine name, or FRECA colloquially, with Alpine’s departure from the championship in 2026.
Before wrapping up for the year, F3 completed its third of three post-season tests earlier in the week, this time at Imola. Tuesday’s running was held in wet conditions, with AIX Racing’s Brad Benavides setting the fastest time of the day with a 1:33.022 in the afternoon. He was also the fastest driver on Wednesday afternoon, although Mattia Colnaghi of MP Motorsport was the quickest overall with a 1:31.824 in the morning.
The 54th Formula Ford Festival also takes place this weekend at Brands Hatch, and 86 drivers are set to line up in a veritable showcase of grassroots motorsport. Among the entrants are Graham Brunton Racing’s Callum Baxter, who raced with the team in GB4 this year before making an appearance in FR Americas at the end of August. Ammonite Motorsport, who were set to race in GB3 in 2024 before backing out, are also on the grid, with Hugh Esterson, brother of 2025 F2 driver Max Esterson, one of their three drivers.
There is also the season finale of NACAM F4, Mexico’s national junior single-seater series, which this weekend supports F1’s Mexico City Grand Prix for the 10th time. Keep reading for a preview of the event, though we will not have a review this weekend given the absence of live television coverage.

What to know: The home of F1’s Italian Grand Prix hosts the grand finale of one of the most exciting Formula Regional Europe seasons of recent times. Three drivers enter Monza as championship contenders. Who will come out on top?
Freddie Slater is first in the standings after having claimed a win and a fourth-place finish at the series’ last round at Hockenheim. The Englishman has amassed six victories so far, two more than his two direct rivals, which as it stands would crown him champion if things ended on equal points.
At a four-point distance is Matteo De Palo, with four wins. The Trident driver stepped on the podium in both races last time out. Enzo Deligny is the last driver in mathematical contention for the title. The R-ace GP driver was victorious for the fourth time this season at Hockenheim but is sitting 30 points behind Slater with 50 still available.
This weekend, two rookies will join the FRegional Europe grid, but because it is the series’ final round, they will be ineligible for points. Tomass Štolcermanis (#21) and Jan Przyrowski (#74) will join forces with RPM and race alongside Giovanni Maschio.
This year, Štolcermanis competed in the first two rounds of Italian F4 with Prema Racing, scoring one podium, before partnering with AKM Motorsport for the E4 round at Mugello, where he became the team’s first and only points scorer in race three.
Przyrowski is currently racing in Spanish F4 with Campos Racing, and his three wins and five further podiums put him fourth in the standings with 188 points.
As he announced on Instagram, Tim Gerhards will not conclude his season in FR Europe. The 18-year-old Dutchman tested LMP3 machinery last week at Portimão. Taking his seat at Saintéloc Racing is James Egozi (#50), who joined the series’ grid last time out at Hockenheim with RPM and claimed a best result of eighth in race one.
Prema Racing wild card Yuanpu Cui, E4-bound Zhenrui Chi of CL Motorsport, and RPM part-timer Kacper Sztuka will not participate in the last FR Europe round of the year.

How to follow: Free practice and qualifying sessions are only accessible via live timing. All three races will be live-streamed on the E4 YouTube and Facebook channels and the ACI Sport website.
Weather forecast: Sunny all weekend, with some clouds possible on Saturday and Sunday.
What to know: The scene is set for the finale of E4’s third season and the first under its current name. With 75 points up for grabs, six drivers could still be crowned champion of the three-event series.
Kean Nakamura-Berta and Gabriel Gomez are at a 10-point distance from each other. Prema Racing’s Nakamura-Berta has claimed one race win and four further podiums thus far, while US Racing’s Gomez has won twice but has taken only one more podium.
Alex Powell, Reno Francot and Sebastian Wheldon follow in third, fourth and fifth, between 21 and 25 points away from Gomez. Each driver has won one race and scored two further podiums. Salim Hanna, 73 points back, is the last eligible candidate.
Prema’s Oleksandr Bondarev leads the rookie standings by 17 points, but with only the best seven results from nine races counted, he will need to fight to remain ahead of teammate Hanna.
On 3 October, Lucas Nanji (#48) announced on Instagram that he would be joining forces with Prema Racing for this weekend’s E4 round. The 17-year-old Canadian racer will make his single-seater debut, stepping up from karting.
Nicolás Cortés (#56) is also set to join the E4 grid this weekend with Jenzer Motorsport. The 15-year-old finished fourth in F4 CEZ with the team this year and joined the Swiss outfit for the Italian F4 finale in Misano, claiming a best finish of 16th.
Elia Weiss (#39) will also switch to Jenzer this weekend after competing in E4, the Formula Winter Series and Italian F4 with Cram Motorsport but not scoring points in any series. For the third consecutive season, Cram will skip the finale after participating in round two, with Weiss’ teammate Oscar Repetto also not competing this weekend.
After joining the Italian F4 grid for the seasons’ finale at Misano, Niccolò Maccagnani (#8) will make his E4 debut this weekend, continuing his partnership with BVM that saw him claim a best finish of 15th last time out.
AKM Motorsport have reduced their lineup from five to three cars, with Tomass Štolcermanis and Javier Herrera absent. The reason for Herrera’s absence is unknown, but Štolcermanis will make his FRECA debut this weekend with RPM. Aurelia Nobels is also not present after having raced for AS Motorsport at the previous round.

Schedule: All times local (UTC−6)

- 8:35–9:00: Practice
Saturday 25 October
- 9:25–9:50: Qualifying
- 16:45–17:15: Race 1

Weather forecast: Partly cloudy on Friday and Saturday giving way to sunny skies on Sunday. There is a slight chance of showers on Saturday.
What to know: NACAM F4’s 2025 season finale takes place alongside F1’s Mexico City Grand Prix, and in front of the biggest crowds they’ve ever faced, the series’ drivers have two races to vie for championship glory.
The leader among them is Zaky Ibrahim, who has headed the drivers’ standings all season. Yet after winning six of the first seven races and finishing third in the other, he has failed to stand on the podium since. Ibrahim holds a 26-point advantage over Fernando Luque, who has taken podiums in each of the last five races, and his challenge is to hold on.
Nine points further back from Luque is José Martinez, who enjoyed his best weekend last time out at Puebla with a victory and two third-place finishes. Martínez is just one point ahead of Alex Bobadilla, the last driver able to take the title, who won the other two races at Puebla.
Two changes are expected at Alessandros Racing this weekend. Helio Meza (#27), the 2024 NACAM F4 runner-up, will pilot the car last driven by Ivanna Richards. This year, he finished fifth in the Mazda MX-5 Cup while also competing with Alessandros in the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series.
A fifth car has also been added to the team’s line-up for Alex Popow (#26), who last competed with the team in round two in May. He finished on the podium in race three there and more recently concluded his main campaign in F4 US as runner-up.
