Want to cover the F1 stars of the future and make your name in motorsport journalism? We have the perfect opportunity for you! We’re seeking a dedicated Formula 2 co-editor to join our editorial staff for the 2026 F2 season and beyond.
As the F2 co-editor for volunteer-led Feeder Series, you’re not just watching the races from your couch and writing an article here and there about what you see. You’ll become one of the foremost authorities on the biggest junior single-seater series below Formula 1 and an integral part of a highly motivated editorial team hailing from all around the world.
Your main tasks as F2 co-editor, a role shared with an experienced staff member, are to write articles after each race and qualifying session; ask questions at virtual press conferences each race weekend; and interview drivers, team figures, and series personnel during and between rounds. You’ll also get to show your expertise on the Feeder Series Podcast alongside guests like Gabriel Bortoleto, Isack Hadjar, Jak Crawford and Oliver Goethe. The ability to attend any F2 rounds in person as a paddock reporter is a big plus!
The F2 co-editor fills one our most important roles at Feeder Series. It involves a lot of writing, but if you’re responsible and keen to take on a challenge, you’ll be able to develop as a journalist and expand your network in motorsport at a rapid pace.
Here’s what we’re seeking in an ideal candidate:
- You have (some) previous experience in journalism, motorsport or otherwise
- You know your way around F2 and want to dive even deeper
- You can write and communicate clearly and precisely in English
- You are proactive in monitoring for news, thinking of story angles and reaching out to potential sources
- You’re a team player who feels a sense of responsibility to keep our audience engaged
- You maintain a respectful, impartial tone in your reporting for our website and on social media
- You have consistent availability on race weekends from Thursday afternoon (European time) through Sunday to attend press conferences and write articles
- You’re at least 18 years old
The application deadline is 23:59 CET on Saturday, 27 December. The time commitment for this role is approximately five hours per week, with higher hours on F2 race weekends.
Please note that all roles at Feeder Series are done on a volunteer basis. While this means we can’t pay you, we offer you access to a wide network in motorsport and valuable real-life experience in journalism at a respected news outlet. As a ‘feeder series’ of sorts ourselves, we also want to hone your skills so that you can excel in professional journalism and media roles in and outside of the motorsport industry.
Using generative AI in any part of an application to join Feeder Series, including in supplementary materials, will disqualify you from consideration for this role and any others.
Interested? Email us at editorial@feederseries.net and tell us why you’d be the perfect F2 co-editor for us! Though not required, we encourage you to send us a CV, work samples and/or your favourite F2 or feeder series moments so we can get to know you better.
