The top step of the Parella Motorsports Holdings open-wheel ladder is set to enter its ninth season, off the back of a 2025 season highlighted by a close championship battle won by Titus Sherlock. Feeder Series tells you all you need to know about the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship season.
By Owen White
After embarking on a late charge for the title last year, Sherlock has gone on a sabbatical from single-seater racing, with the rest of the championship contenders similarly departing the series after 2025. That means that of the drivers on the 2026 grid, only Brady Golan will have won a race going into the season.
The ownership and management of the series underwent major change this off-season, with Parella Motorsport Holdings announcing their acquisition of Racing America in early December. For 2026, PMH and SpeedTour have also announced a rebrand to Racing America, the platform on which races will be broadcast going forward.
The calendar
The 2026 schedule is nearly identical to the previous year’s, with the same eight tracks being visited. The rounds at Mid-Ohio and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have swapped order, marking the only change in the sequence of the tracks from last year.
The season opening round at NOLA Motorsports Park has been pushed back two weeks to the second weekend of April, when it had previously been held in 2024 before being moved to the end of March for 2025.
- Round 1: NOLA Motorsports Park (9–12 April)
- Round 2: Road America (14–17 May)
- Round 3: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (11–14 June)
- Round 4: Indianapolis Motor Speedway (18–21 June)
- Round 5: New Jersey Motorsports Park (31 July–2 August)
- Round 6: Mosport (3–6 September)
- Round 7: Virginia International Raceway (17–20 September)
- Round 8: Barber Motorsports Park (16–18 October)
The format
The weekend format remains unchanged from previous years. Race weekends commence on Thursdays with a pair of optional 30-minute test sessions. One or two 25-minute practice sessions are held on Friday, followed by a 25-minute qualifying session held on either Friday or Saturday depending on the race weekend.
The first race of the weekend is always held on Saturday regardless of whether the weekend contains two or three races. The starting positions for the first race are set by the results of qualifying, with the grids for the second and third races set by the fastest laps run by each driver in the previous race. Though the length of the races is also dependent on the weekend schedule, most races have a maximum length of 35 minutes.
The points system is the same as what is used in F1. There are no points awarded for pole position or fastest lap.
Where to watch
The PMH ladder, including FR Americas, has made the switch from free YouTube livestreams to the Racing America streaming service, which costs $19.99 a month. All races will be streamed there. Races can also be viewed on Racing America’s live channel on Amazon Prime Video.
Teams and drivers
Jensen Global Advisors were present in the first two rounds of 2025 but have so far not finalised plans to return to the series.
Kiwi Motorsport
Coming off of a teams’ championship victory in 2025, Kiwi Motorsports will attempt to defend their title with an overhauled line-up. Last year’s race winners Nicolás Ambiado, Jett Bowling, and Bruno Ribeiro have all departed the team, which will now be made up of two cars for the season-opening round at NOLA.
Ohio native Harbir Dass (#9) jumps two steps on the PMH ladder after two seasons spent in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship. In those seasons, Dass scored seven podiums in 25 starts, placing fourth in the championship in 2025. During the off-season, the 21-year-old kept busy by competing in the opening Formula Race Promotions Atlantic Championship round at Road Atlanta, taking victory in the feature race.
Defending F4 US champion Cooper Shipman (#84) will step up to FR Americas through the scholarship award he received for his title-winning campaign. Last year, the Texan was a winner on nine occasions, with second-place finishes in four of the remaining six races he contested. The 18-year-old also raced in the FR Oceania Championship earlier this year, scoring one podium and a final result of 15th in the standings. With FR Americas racing on many of the same tracks where Shipman swept weekends in F4 US, he will likely be among the primary championship contenders.

Crosslink Motorsports
After taking second place in the teams’ championship and claiming the drivers’ championship with Titus Sherlock in 2025, Crosslink Motorsports return to the series with a five-car line-up. With that, the team have significantly upgraded their entry count after only entering two full-time entries and two part-time entries in 2025. Crosslink have also formed a partnership with AJ Foyt Racing through which they will now serve as a driver development program for the iconic IndyCar outfit, which also returned to Indy NXT this year.
Alex Bobadilla (#8) will make his FR Americas debut in 2026. The Mexican is running a dual campaign in NACAM F4 this year with Alessandros Racing. The current points leader in that series, Bobadilla has raced his way onto the podium in all six races so far this season, winning in three of those. Throughout his NACAM F4 career, Bobadilla has a total of six wins and 17 podiums in 31 races, with a best championship finish of third.
Coming off of a third-place result in the 2025 F4 US championship, Kekai Hauanio (#29) will make his first attempt at the FR Americas title. With his move up the ladder, the 19-year-old will become the first driver to have raced in all three series on the PMH ladder, following the addition of the lowest rung, Ligier Junior Formula Championship predecessor Ligier JS F4, in 2024. Hauanio finished second in that series in its first year before becoming the only driver to finish in the top five of every race in F4 US a year ago. The Florida resident also won three of the first six races in that campaign and achieved a total of 13 podiums.
Returning for his sixth year in the championship, Kevin Janzen (#24) transitions from Kiwi Motorsport to Crosslink for 2026. The 60-year-old brings with him unrivalled experience in the series, and he scored a best finish of eighth place in 2025 en route to a 19th-place finish in the championship. The Canadian will once again compete in the Masters Cup within the series, a category he won as recently as 2024.
After spending several years in the IndyCar ladder system, Evagoras Papasavvas (#71) is set to debut in FR Americas this season. The 18-year-old Cypriot-American won three races and finished on the podium a total of 14 times in 46 starts in the USF2000 series before running a partial schedule in Indy NXT in 2025 with HMD Motorsports. There, the Ohio resident scored a podium on debut at Barber and racked up two further top-10 finishes in five total starts.
Mountain biker Aidan Schuh (#14) will transition to single-seaters for 2026 as he embarks on his first full season in the discipline. The 22-year-old Wisconsin native debuted with Crosslink in November, competing in the final round of the 2025 Formula Pro USA Western Championship. Schuh brought home one podium in his pair of starts in the FPUSA-4 class, which uses Ligier JS F4 cars. Schuh prepared himself for his first single-seater season by testing with Crosslink at a variety of tracks throughout the off-season beyond the standard series-wide tests.
Entering his second year in the championship is Barrett Wolfe (#13). The 22-year-old from Las Vegas scored a podium in the first race of 2025 but could not reach the top five again. With campaigns in F4 US in 2024 and FR Oceania in 2025 likewise under his belt, Wolfe brings extensive single-seater experience to his second FR Americas season.

Atlantic Racing Team
After fielding two full-time entries and two part-time entries in 2025, Atlantic Racing team return with a two-car lineup for the new season. The team, which took its first three podiums last year with American driver Connor Roberts, have opted to sign two series veterans for the 2026 season.
James Lawley (#88) returns for a third FR Americas campaign off the back of a strong end to his 2025 season. The 22-year-old Canadian, who has a best career finish of fourth, concluded his season with five consecutive fifth-place finishes across three rounds of the championship. Entering 2026 with a wealth of experience, Lawley appears to be on the right track to score his first podium in the series.
Jake Pollack (#77) began his 2025 campaign at Jensen Global Advisors for the opening round. He then made a mid-season switch to Crosslink Motorsports, with whom he entered rounds four through six before skipping the final two rounds of the season. He scored a best finish of second in 2025 in the first race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Having been due to return to Crosslink in 2026, the 19-year-old Texan now joins Atlantic instead for his first full-time campaign in the championship.

Toney Driver Development
After debuting in the final round of 2024, Toney Driver Development found great success in their first full season in FR Americas. Last season, Brady Golan was the team’s sole full-time competitor, scoring two wins. The team also won both races at VIR with former Indy NXT driver Christian Brooks. Now entering three cars, the team hope to be winning races more regularly and challenging the likes of Kiwi and Crosslink for championships.
Longtime Indy NXT competitor Christian Bogle (#7) is set to make his return to FR Americas in 2026. The Louisiana native previously competed in the series in the opening half of 2021, scoring two top-five finishes. The 25-year-old also made 21 starts in F4 US between 2018 and 2020, scoring two wins in that time. Bogle makes his return to single-seater racing after spending 2025 in the GT World Challenge Europe series.
The highest-finishing returning driver from 2025, Brady Golan (#40) is staying with the team for his second season. Last year, he earned two wins and three further podiums en route to fifth in the championship and second in the rookie standings. The Texan will enter the season as the only driver on the grid to have won a race in the series, making him among the most likely to challenge for the 2026 title. Eighteen-year-old Golan brings with him experience from all three steps on the USF Pro Championships ladder, including USF Pro 2000, in which he is also running full-time in 2026 with Turn 3 Motorsport.
After a partial F4 US campaign that yielded a best finish of fourth position on two occasions, Luke Powers (#5) steps up to FR Americas with TDD in 2026. The Indiana native, who has yet to complete a full season on the PMH ladder, will get a chance to learn from Golan and Bogle and develop into a regular contender as the season progresses.

Momentum Motorsports
Momentum Motorsports enter their third year in the FR Americas championship, once again with a single car for Anthony Autiello. The team scored their first podium in LJFC last year with Max Mokarem, though they are still searching for their first big result at the FR level.
Defending Masters Cup champion Anthony Autiello (#07) returns once again as the sole FR Americas entry for Momentum Motorsports. Forty-three-year-old Autiello comes off his second season of FR Americas competition that resulted in a best result of seventh. The Rhode Island native will attempt to defend his Masters Cup title this year as he faces competition from more than one driver for the first time.

Hillenburg Motorsports
Hillenburg Motorsports are set to make their FR Americas debut with a two-car line-up. Owned by Roy and Russ Hillenburg, the team carry a rich history in American single-seater championships. In 2012, the Texas-based team even competed in Indy Lights (now Indy NXT) with driver Darryl Wills, scoring a best finish of 10th place.
Whitney Strickland (#21) is the newest addition to the Masters Cup. Strickland, an investor and industrial services executive based in the Houston area, has experience in SCCA-based series lasting more than a decade. The 57-year-old most recently competed in the 2025 SCCA Formula Enterprises 2 class, and he has frequently raced in that division as well as the Spec Racer Ford class. This is Strickland’s first season in FR Americas and on the PMH ladder.
Eric Wiśniewski (#25) will pilot the second car for the team. The 18-year-old last competed on the PMH ladder in 2023, when he drove for Jay Howard Driver Development in F4 US and finished 36th in the championship. The Michigander previously won the Formula Development series in 2022 as the only full-time competitor, and he also brings experience in similar SCCA series to Strickland.

MLT Motorsports
After spending two seasons in F4 US, MLT Motorsports have stepped up to the FR Americas level with one entry. The Georgia-based team, which first competed in IMSA championships, have expanded their operations to all three steps on the PMH ladder for 2026. In their pair of seasons in F4 US, the team won on six occasions and racked up a total of 14 podiums with driver Alex Popow Jr.
Jonathan Cottrill (#75) makes the step up to FR Americas after competing in the final two rounds of F4 US in 2025. After debuting in that series with Rase Motorsports, Cottrill then raced for MLT in the final round at Barber. The 18-year-old from Colorado will compete in his first full national single-seater campaign in 2026.
