At the first Formula 2 test of the year in Spanish Jerez, Jordan King and Richard Verschoor will take the wheel at MP Motorsport. The team still has two empty seats.
Verschoor again
Dutchman Richard Verschoor already tested MP Motorsport’s car last year and last week he was behind the wheel of their Formula 3 car. In 2018 he drove a couple of F3 races for the team and impressed with a podium at Sochi.
Veteran King
King, who will be 25 on Tuesday, is an F2 veteran having driven in the series for three years, bagging two wins in the process. In 2017 he did a year with MP Motorsport and finished the championship in 11th. Last year he did a stint in IndyCar with Ed Carpenter Racing finishing 22nd in the championship.
Other empty seats
Two other teams at the inaugural F2 test in Spain also haven’t announced their second driver yet: Campos Racing and Trident. At Campos Dorian Boccolacci takes a test seat and at Trident Ralph Boschung fills the gap.
