Finnish driver Simo Laaksonen switches teams as he moves to MP Motorsport in the new Formula 3 Championship.

Podium

Simo Laaksonen had a great end to his inaugural GP3 season, scoring a podium at Yas marina which was the final race of the season. He finished 14th in the championship collecting 36 points, with third at Yas Marina being his only podium.

Teammates

His teammate at Campos Racing, Leonardo Pulcini, fared a bit better. The Italian scored five podiums and two wins as he finished the season in 4th. Teammate Diego Menchace scored only four points in a disappointing season, finishing in 19th.

20-year old Laaksonen scored wins in French F4 and ADAC F4 in the past.

MP Motosport are yet to announce a second driver for their Formula 3 season.
