Whatsapping with Nicole Havrda: ‘It would be spectacular to join W Series”

Fourteen drivers will participate in the 2022 W Series test, due to commence on 31 January. The youngest of these drivers is 16-year-old Canadian Nicole Havrda. F1 Feeder Series had the opportunity to chat with Havrda, discussing the transition between karts and cars, and her hopes for the future.

Nicole Havrda has only been racing for three years, but is eager to prove herself in 2022 – starting with the W Series Test.

In 2020, she achieved 7 podiums at the West Coast Kart Club, followed by a solid third-place finish at the Rotax Max West Karting Championship final. Havrda’s first major karting win came with the Calgary Shootout in Strathmore, which preceded the 6th place finish at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final.

Her 2021 karting season saw Havrda continue her pursuit to the top of the podium. She built upon her podium record by achieving three wins overall at the West Coast Kart Club, and narrowly missed out on the top spot in that year’s Rotax Max West Karting final after finishing in 2nd place. Also in 2021, she was named Junior Rookie of the Year at West Coast Kart Club, following a 3rd place finish overall in the Western Canadian Karting Final.

Havrda rounded off the year by gaining her first F4 car experience – she participated in a Mercedes-AMG GT4 test with Conquest Racing West, and a further F4 test with Kiwi Motorsport.
