Whatsapping with Ollie Bearman: ‘No issues getting up to speed’

As we shift our focus onto another year of motorsport in 2022, there’s plenty of eyes and ears on many exciting talents who are stepping up the ladder. There aren’t many drivers that have shaken up the scene more than 16-year-old Brit Ollie Bearman. After taking an unprecedented dual championship victory in Italian and ADAC Formula 4, as well as tasting victory champagne in the newly rebranded GB3 Championship, it’s safe to say that Bearman has got everyone wondering – what’s he got in store for us in 2022?

The off-season proved to be no let-up either, with Ollie Bearman securing a spot in the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy; the same academy that’s helped the likes of Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher achieve their Formula 1 dreams in recent years. On top of that, a successful FIA F3 winter test with none other than Prema Racing eventually led to him securing a 2022 seat with the Italian feeder series giants.

And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be able to see Bearman in action very soon indeed, with the newly appointed Prema racer taking up a part-time appearance in the 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship, competing in the final two rounds for Mumbai Falcons at the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit on 12-13 February and 19-20 February respectively.
