The 2022 FIA Formula 3 season might well have been the tightest championship battle ever, with as many as seven drivers having a chance at the title just two races from the end. We invited YouTuber Josh Revell on the F1 Feeder Series Podcast to make sense of the season and its bizarre ending.

As Josh put it, Victor Martins’ title victory is ‘more so down to consistency than anything else’. The 22-year-old won the championship by a margin of five points, not over Isack Hadjar, who many had touted as the favourite, but a rampant Zane Maloney, who won three Feature Race in as many weekends.
But at Monza the title could’ve gone seven ways, mathematically that is. And it looks like in the end the experience of Martins won out against rookies Maloney, Ollie Bearman and Hadjar who finished behind him.
Josh Revell and our FIA F3 editor Michael McClure, who was present at the highly emotional Monza finale, talk the winners and losers of the 2022 season on the latest episode of the F1 Feeder Series Podcast. Check it out below on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts!
