Opening: Social media editor wanted

As a volunteer-led social-first outlet, we at Feeder Series take our social endeavours seriously! We’re looking for a dedicated social media manager with a passion for junior single-seaters who can take our social game to the next level.

In February 2019, founder Floris Visman started Feeder Series with a tweet. Since then, our Twitter account has grown to almost 60,000 followers, and we’ve added a website, a Discord server, two podcasts, a newsletter and several more social media platforms to our arsenal. We can be found in online press conferences and in junior single-seater paddocks all around the world.

But we’re not stopping there. To keep our audiences informed, we are looking for a social media admin with a focus on Twitter and Instagram. You may be thinking, ‘Hey, I’m on social media all the time and I like motorsport. I’ll apply!’ Before you rush to send in an application, have a look at what we’re seeking in an ideal candidate.

  • You have (some) previous experience in social media management, particularly Canva and Meta Business Suite
  • Because we’re volunteers, we’re not looking for full-time availability. We do ask you to have some availability on weekdays and weekends. We work with a schedule we fill out in advance and hours will vary
  • You are passionate about junior single-seaters and willing to learn more about them
  • You can write and communicate clearly and precisely in English
  • You are proactive and willing to think outside of the box instead of just posting basic news and results
  • You are quick to react to news and attentive to details. It’s important that we get things right!
  • You are a team player who’s willing to help other team members solve problems and create content when needed.

Please note that all roles at Feeder Series are done on a volunteer basis. While this means we can’t pay you, we offer you access to a wide network in motorsport and valuable real-life experience in social media management at a respected news outlet. As a feeder series of sorts ourselves, we also want to hone your skills so that you can excel in professional social media management roles in and outside of the motorsport industry.

Interested? Email us at editorial@feederseries.net and tell us why you’d be the perfect social media admin for us! Though not required, we encourage you to send us a CV, work samples and/or your favourite feeder series moments so we can get to know you better.
