American Kaylen Frederick will race in the 2019 BRDC British F3 Championship for Carlin. This will be his first full season abroad.
16-year old Frederick competed in USF2000 last year as he finished sixth in the championship. He gathered four podiums with a highest finish of second. He made his debut in that series in 2016 when he drove Laguna Seca. In 2017 he also did a full season.
Hugely successful
Carlin has been hugely successful in British F3 in the three seasons they have been active, winning the driver’s crown in 2017 with Enaam Ahmed. Last season their driver Nicolai Kjærgaard finished second in the championship.
Thrilled
Frederick is very happy with his move to Carlin, as he expressed on the teams website: “I have done a lot of pre-season testing already which has shown me the experienced level of professionalism and overall strength that Carlin brings to a championship. I’m thrilled to continue progressing as a driver with this great team.”
